Hello. Before I start my debate I would first like to thank my opponent
for posting such a well thought out rebuttal and for entertaining the
many points that I have brought up in my debate. I would now like to
start my construct by refuting my opponents points and revealing the
flaws and obvious disregard for human life that my opponent has
brought up in his speech.
First of all, my opponent said that gamers that killed them self because of
psychological trauma caused by video games. This is sickening! All people, no
matter if their IQ is low or if they are flipping burgers at McDonalds deserve to
live. Those people who, upon buying the game thought that the game would be
safe, that no matter how much they play the game, they would still retain some
amount of sanity. I would agree with my opponent, that if a person played a
game for hours upon hours that they should live with the consequences of being
irresponsible. But my opponent did not tell the whole story. According to the
American Psychological Association, or APA < http://
www.psychologymatters.org... > children who play violent video games have
increased aggression, violent video games stimulate the dopamine receptors in
the brain which cause children to actually become addicted to the game as one
would become addicted to heroine or methamphetamine, and since violent
video games are more engaging and interactive than other games they are
almost twice as addictive. Another doctor from the APA Doctor Anderson
determined that violent video games do increase violent feelings in young
children, and even in adults. The same study also concluded that violent video
games make children more impulsive and therefore more prone to act rashly
and jump off a building because of video game withdrawal. Because video
games are addicting, you cannot put all the fault on the individual. Some video
game manufacturers like Blizzard intentionally manufacture video games to be
addictive so they will sell more subscriptions and so

I am happy to note that you
have sought admission in the best school of your city.
You have asked about my school. I have taken
admission in SMD School. It is one of the reputed all
girls, schools of Bhopal. The school building is very big
and beautiful. It has thirty rooms and two big halls.
There are about 900 students and forty teachers in
our school. Our school library is quite big. We play
games in the evening. The students love and help
each other. The teachers are good and they not only
teach us well but also solve all our problems. I like this
school and the teachers very much.
Answer to number 5==>>If There's A Will,
There's A Way
`If there's a will, there's a way' is
one motto I would like
to make my own. The saying
means that if anyone was
determined enough to get
something done, that person
would always find a way to do
it.
I believe that determination is
the fighting spirit of a
person. Without determination, a
person would tend to
give up too easily in getting
what she or he wants. I
remember a time when I played
the piano and I could not
get the timing of the piece
correct. My exam was merely
two weeks away and I panicked
at the thought of not
being able to play the piece of
music correctly. I decided
that I should practise really hard.
I felt desperate and
grave because no matter how
hard I tried, I still could not
play it correctly.
I stopped playing for one
afternoon and decided to listen
to a tape in which the piece was
recorded. After listening
intently for several hours, I went
back to the piano and
tried playing the piece again. I
was extremely happy
when I got it right on my second
try. Everything seemed
clearer after that. The music
seemed to flow right out of
my fingertips.
Needless to say, I did pretty well
for my piano exam. From
then on, I believe a lot in having
determination. If I
wanted to accomplish even the
smallest task, I must not
give up too easily or it will never
be done. This new-found
spirit in me will get me far in life.
motto a saying taken as a
guiding
principle
intently seriously.

Violent video games, like violent films, are an
expression of artistic focus. Most violent video
games are not necessarily designed to make
violence enjoyable, but more to make the entire
experience of the video game more realistic in feel.
One of the current trends in the media, is to
encourage the ban of video games with violent
content, and, personally I think this is a farce. Like
films, literature, comic books and television, video
games are merely the newest medium for artistic
expression in the late 20th and early 21st Century.
They are unique in the fact they can mimic and in
some ways surpass all other artistic mediums
before them, due to their digitally- interactive input
method. It's this uniqueness and unwillingness to
be pigeon-holed, that has piqqued the public's
interest in them, to a point of wanting it's riddance.
If violent video games should be banned, the only
logical reason they should be is to protect them
from younger children. But like films, there are clear
age restrictions on games with a high amount of
graphic content. The video games "Manhunt" and
"Grand Theft Auto", have been particularly stressed
in the press as boasting content that has led to the
deteriation of young people in todays culture. But
both these video games carry an 18 certificate age
restriction, and if parents are letting their children
play them at a young age, I'm frankly not surprised
that adverse behavioral changes would occur in
children below the age of 14, who have been
allowed to play these games without efficient
guidance. Also, blame perhaps equally lies with the
video game retailers who have sold them to
underage children. Violent video games, like films
and similar expressive mediums should not be
banned, if enough care is taken to stop them being
experienced by children of an unsuitable age.
One point you have to keep in mind is at what point
a game is considered violent. Some people consider
games like Runescape where you "attack" another
person to be violent
